Bayview 254, four suite house with pool near the Botanical Garden

Bayview 254 is a contemporary four bedroom house being built in the Jardim Botânico area of Funchal, in Santa Maria Maior, at around 254 metres above sea level. Its main draw is the broad view over Funchal bay, framed by large glazed openings and minimalist, timeless architecture.

The layout suits families and guests alike. The lower floor has one suite, ideal for visitors, a home office or single-level living, and the upper floor holds three further bedrooms. In total there are six bathrooms: four en suite, a guest bathroom on the middle floor and another on the garage level.

Outside, the house is designed like a small resort, with a pool, lounge areas and spaces for evenings outdoors. A waterfall beside the lounge circulates the pool water and adds the sound of running water. The basement garage has room for several cars, storage and technical areas.

Construction is at an early stage, with completion expected in 18 months, so some details and finishes may still be customised.
